Dr. Lauren Rotenberg is a contemporary art historian and advisor specialising in postwar and contemporary art.

She works with private collectors in the United States and internationally, advising on sourcing, acquisitions, sales, collection strategy, and art-market intelligence. Her work brings together art-historical scholarship, curatorial judgment, and market analysis to support focused collections of lasting cultural and financial significance.

Lauren was formerly core faculty in the MA Contemporary Art Department at Sotheby’s Institute of Art London and has lectured at Goldsmiths and University College London. She began her career at Heffel Fine Art Auction House in Toronto before moving to London, where she completed an MA and PhD in History of Art at University College London. Her curatorial and public programming track record includes projects with Tate Britain, Gasworks, and Camden Arts Centre.

In 2015, Lauren was invited to develop the acquisition strategy for an eight-figure contemporary art collection - an experience that shaped her advisory approach grounded in connoisseurship, rigorous research, and market analysis.

Since 2020, Lauren has worked independently with collectors, applying this approach to collection development, acquisitions, sales, and art-market intelligence. She brings two decades of scholarly, curatorial, and market experience to advising on collections of lasting cultural and financial significance.
